Bibles Cover The Earth
Goes To The County Fair
We
recently had a spur-of-the-moment idea that has produced
remarkable results. Two days before the Randolph
county fair started, one of the team brought up the idea
of a booth at the county fair. At first we laughed, but
the more we discussed the idea, the more sense it
made. We quickly inquired about getting access to a
booth and found that there were still open booths
available. We had pictures relating
to the Bibles Cover The Earth program printed
on 8 X 10 inch stock and pasted them to foam board with
a by-line underneath each picture. We placed our cards
and the new brochures on the table along with Bibles
that were embossed. We offered embossed Bibles for sale
with the persons name embossed on the cover and we
presented the people with the opportunity to "sponsor" a
Bible to be sent to one of the prison inmates that has
requested one. We also elected to have a drawing
for an embossed Bible, the winner being announced on the
last day of the

fair. We simply went to the computer, made our "tickets"
and placed them on the table in front of the drawing
box. We also placed one of the embossing machines on the
table so that those interested could see the machine
behind the vision. The results have been above our
expectations. We have explained the program to many
people and allowed others to understand the vision of
Bibles Cover The Earth. The exposure has been wonderful.
Now, when people see our name and pictures in the paper,
they will know who we are and what we are trying to
accomplish.
We have no doubt that
this type of exposure will work for any Embossing Center. If
you have a county fair where you live, rent a
booth. It is a great way to advertise your business and
a wonderful way to grow your genealogy. There are other
similar avenues of exposure that will work as well, such
as trade shows or school fairs. Wherever people are
gathered, that is a good place to advertise your
business, and in most cases the advertising is
cheap.
First and
foremost, realize that your Embossing Center is a
home-based business. Every business,
regardless of size needs exposure if the business is to
succeed. This county fair experience is shared because it was
a great opportunity that had been there all the time, and it never
crossed our minds before this.
This month, the team
here at Bibles Cover The Earth encourages you to
look at your Embossing Center as a business. What happens
to a business that is across town or in the last row
of buildings that never advertises? Nothing! Not everyone who
came by our fair booth was interested, but some
were. Those are the people we are looking for to
make our business a success and here is the lesson learned:
If you share this business with enough people, your business
will be a success. There are thousands of people out
there who are looking for extra income and there are
thousands of people out there who have a heart to serve
the Lord. We offer an opportunity to do both, but that
opportunity lays flat on the floor if it is not shared
with people.
As the
summer rush winds down and the smell of Fall fills the
air, make a decision to bring more exposure to your
Embossing Center. At Bibles Cover The Earth we are
trying with all our fiber to make the experience as easy
and simple as possible, but ultimately it is your
business. Remember, success is in exposure; the more
people you share the program with, the sooner you will
reach your goal.

Cause For
Concern
There is a
trend that I have been seeing
that has caused me great concern and that is the lack
of respect that many young people have for the Word of
God. It seems to hold such a small place of importance in their
lives. In life, we must have a frame of reference
that stands as our guide. Without that frame of reference
we are vulnerable to everything that crosses our path.
When God created us, He intended for His Word
to be that "plumb line" or "cornerstone" on which we structure
our lives. As Joshua began to take over for
Moses and lead three million disgruntled people, God gave
him a simple plan of success: "Meditate on [God's
Law] day and night, so that you may be careful to
do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and
successful." - Joshua 1:8. How many of our young people
understand this profound truth? In Matthew 4:4, Jesus
says that man does not live on bread alone but on every
Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The word
"bread" in this verse is
lechem
in Hebrew. It means
sustenance. In other words, Matthew 4:4 reminds us that food alone
cannot sustain us because we have been created in the image
of the Holy Spirit and only the Word can really
sustain us. Jesus said that the words I speak to you are spirit
and truth. The Word feeds our spirit in a
way that we are sustained from the inside out
and not outside in. When our children lack the knowledge
of the Word, they lack the language of the Holy Spirit and
the lines of communication open to God are thin at best.
So what can we
do? Here is a suggestion. Most Protestants know what a
Sword drill is. For those who don't, it is a contest
where the children are challenged to find a certain
scripture verse faster than their team mates - the Bible
serving as the Sword (Hebrews 4:12). They find the verse
then read it aloud. The one who does this the most times
over a set period of play wins the game.
Here is the idea. Every
Active Embossing Center receives two Bibles each month.
Why not sponsor a monthly or quarterly Bible (Sword)
drill in your church and give the winner an embossed
Bible? You could divide the groups by age and maybe have
four to five groups. Training the children in the Word
at an early age is critical and the more of the Word
that they receive early-on will reap huge rewards later
on as they mature. You could promote it as a Bibles
Cover The Earth Sword drill. This would not only do
a great service to the children and to your church, but
it would again give your business exposure.
Our young
people are being exposed to and overrun with garbage
every day. Their minds are being conformed to a
world that cares nothing for their hearts or their
souls. I know that the fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom. Many of our youth don't fear God
because they don't know Him. That is very sad. Our
vision will always be to get the Word of God into the
hands of every person who wants It. As we work
toward this goal, the souls of our youth remain a
cause of concern for me. Jesus said to work hard while
we have the light for there is coming a time when no man
can work (John 9:4). We have much work to do.
God bless you and I encourage us all to pray for the
youth of our nation. DFH

OUR NEW
BROCHURE
Outside Cover
We
have a new brochure that allows you to introduce the
program in a tangible way. It's another business
aid that you can give to a friend or new prospect
that presents an overview of the entire plan. To cut the
cost we will soon be providing these new brochures on
our web-site in a PDF format so that you can simply copy
them on your own printer. You will have to print
the front and then the back but this is simply done
allowing you to print as many as you need at any
time.
We are also starting production on a DVD that can be
given to new prospects. We'll let
you know as soon as it's ready. We are trying to
do everything we can to make the Bibles Cover The Earth
experience as simple and as exciting as we can. Please
continue to keep us in your prayers and let us know
your ideas and suggestions. We want to be as true
as we can to our CEO, the Holy Spirit.

BOOK REVIEW CONTINUES
Chapter 3
Last month
we began a look at Mark and Rene Yarnell's book,
Your First Year in Network Marketing.
We presented a few nuggets from the first two chapters.
The book is available on Amazon.com and is a must read
for anyone who has a network marketing business (which
all of us EC's and QEC's do).
This month
we will take a look at Chapter 3 and share a few of
the highlights.
Chapter Three:
Dodging the Depression Torpedo -
Maintaining enthusiasm in spite of the inevitable
setbacks
I believe
that one of the most depressing things in this world is
rejection, especially when that rejection comes from
someone we love or admire. The fear of rejection is the
biggest setback to any multi-level marketing business.
We don't like talking to people because we fear they'll
say no and we don't like the rejection. We may need the
money that the business brings but the fear of rejection
is greater than the need for the money.
In the
book, Mark Yarnell says that rejection is absolutely
certain and that we should prepare our new people
for it. He warns also that many who start the
business will not follow through and that can bring
on the depression torpedo for their sponsors.
Understanding that this is normal in multi-level
marketing helps soften the blow, but Mark shares that
the people who quit early are actually doing their
upline a favor because it prevents the sponsor from
spending a lot of time with them and ultimately losing
that time in the end. He says the solution is to use
your up-line and to allow their vision, their
experience, and their excitement to
re-motivate and prevent the Depression
Torpedo.
One of the
best parts of this chapter is his optimism toward
mulit-level marketing businesses. He says we come to
realize that network marketing provides the greatest
case for optimism in the history of free
enterprise. He states four reasons for this
optimism.
1. The home-based
business has literally no down-side risk. We don't have
to invest huge amounts of capital to start this
buiness nor do we have to tie-up a large amount of
money for shelving products and renting a
storefront.
2. Secondly, there are
really no boundaries
on earnings. Regardless of how much money a person
makes per hour in a traditional business, there are only so
many hours in a day. Through exponential growth,
however, we can receive a salary even while we
are sleeping. That's the power of network marketing. He
states that we can create a raise for our family every
day if we choose.
3. In network
marketing, time and freedom is synonomous with wealth
and prosperity. Nothing in life equals the joy of being
able to spend quality time doing the things we enjoy
with the people we love. Those who enjoy this freedom
are optimistic about an opportunity that can offer
the same to others.
4. There should be no
stress at all in multi-level marketing. Mark says that
if you're not having fun, you're not doing it right.
Network marketing can place people in a position where
work-day stress is non-existant because as the person's
position and income grow, the presentation of the
program becomes exciting and simple. Imagine having a
job that was exciting.
Another
suggestion that prevents the Depression Torpedo is
controlling our attitude. Mark says that many people in
network marketing fail because of attitude. Enthusiasm
is contageous, but a lack of enthusiasm will never
convince people to change careers or join a new
program regardless how rewarding it may be.
Lastly,
providing positive information to our brains is
essential. He suggests using positive affirmations
as a "trigger tool." The idea is to state the
belief as if the goal was already a fact.(This
sounds very much like verses Mark 11:23-25.)
Here are a couple of examples of these
affirmations:
"I clearly communicate my business vision
to others in such a way that they are inspired
to join me and become a part of it."
"I
am proud to be building an MLM dynasty as I recruit
dozens of excited people who rapidly duplicate my
success."
Here are a couple of affirmations that I use
myself:
"The Holy Spirit gives me the wisdom I need to
succeed."
"I
am excited about this business because it allows me
to help other people change their lives for the
better."
Mark Yarnell says that if you use affirmations
for a month, you will use them for the rest of your
life.
Again I
want to recommend this book as a source of information
for every Embossing Center. It has much more "good
stuff" than I am sharing here. Next month we will
continue with our review. |
