President's Corner

Do you believe in the cause?  What I mean is: Do you believe in your heart that getting Bibles into the world is a good thing?  If so, I ask that anyone reading this newsletter support that cause by either making a donation to one of the Outreach programs or by joining our team of distributors.  People making donations help the cause by enabling the purchase of Bibles to be sent to those people who need them and are requesting them.  Those who join the Distributor program take it a step further and not only help to get many Bibles into the world but also help encourage others to actively participate in the cause.
I’m excited to say that just within the past two weeks since we announced the changes to the program and started using the Steps to Success described in this newsletter, that another 23 Bibles were sent to the prison systems of Arkansas and over $400 in donations have come in which will enable the purchase of even more Bibles to help fill the requests for Bibles that keep coming in each day.
Recently, as I thought of the Bible outreach programs, the people requesting Bibles, and the world in general, I was reminded of the story of the Good Samaritan told in Luke 10:30-37.  In that story, the poor beaten man was passed by two people who either didn’t have the time or the inclination to help.  It was the person who felt compassion for the man and helped him in his time of need that Jesus wanted us to act like.  I encourage you to read that story for yourself.  Who is your neighbor?  Do you believe in the cause?

Steps to Success

In last month's newsletter we discussed the main changes recently made to the program.  So far, these changes have been met with enthusiasm.  Most of you reading this newsletter are already distributors and are encouraged to follow the “Steps to Success” outlined below.  As always, our goal is to deliver as many Bibles into the world as possible. These steps allow anyone to help in whatever way they feel comfortable; either by donation or by joining our distributor program and helping us “Spread the Word”.

1.     Pick a Bible Outreach program from the Make a Donation page of the website.  Find one that you can relate to or one that seems to move or stir you within.  As described in step 3, this will be your motivation for speaking to others about the program.

2.     Make a list of anyone and everyone you know who might be interested in making a donation to the Bible Outreach program you have identified.  The key is numbers.  The more people you contact, the more Bibles will go to the outreach program and the more chance you will have to grow your business. Even though Bibles Cover The Earth is unique in its product and goals, there are many excellent books and websites dedicated to growing a network marketing business that can be used as a resource to help you as you tell others about this program.

3.     Next, start contacting these people.  You can contact them via phone, email, texting, or whatever.  However, the more personal it is, the more likely you will be successful.  As a suggestion, you might start a conversation with, “Hey Bill, how are you?  I just wanted to talk to you for a little bit about a program I’ve gotten involved with and thought you might want to help.  We are sending Bibles to [whatever Outreach program you’ve picked].  I’m hoping to get as many Bibles as possible to this group of people.  If you’d be interested in making a tax deductible donation to help us get Bibles to these people, then go to www.BiblesCoverTheEarth.com/your url and click on the Make a Donation link.  Hey, and while you are there, take a look at the business opportunity available through this company.  It is something I am doing and I thought you might be interested too.  I’ll talk to you about it again soon and see what you think.”

4.     In a week or two, follow up with the people you spoke with that sounded interested.  Ask them what they thought of the program.

That’s it! These are the basics for growing your Bible outreach and Bibles Cover The Earth business.  Bibles Cover The Earth is about building relationships.  The main thing is to stay passionate, pray, and believe in the reasons you are doing this in the first place.

The steps above, with more details, are part of the information found in the new Instructional Manual available to new Distributors (part of the startup package) and to current Distributors (electronic version via email or printed version by request).

Wisdom

I recently read a book by Andy Andrews called The Noticer. It is a novel about an old man named Jones who helps many people simply by helping them to view their situation from a different perspective.  The book certainly made me think and Jones’ sage-like instructions helped me to understand the importance of wisdom in every area of my life. Proverbs 4:7 says that wisdom is the principal thing. There are many definitions for wisdom, but I heard a definition the other day that was unique, but one to which Jones might agree. Wisdom is the ability to discern between two things; things such as good and evil, a good and a bad investment, to go or to stay, to spend the time or to quit. The list is endless, but wisdom comes as we study each “side” of the decision from different perspectives. Even with diligent study and consideration from many sides, however, we many times lack the wisdom to truly make a qualified decision.

I bring this up this month because I believe that we are entering a season when many of us will be forced to make some important decisions for ourselves and our family. A wrong choice could hold dire repercussions. When Jesus becomes our Lord, we as His children have a huge advantage when it comes to any decision making. We have the Holy Spirit. We can ask His assistance on any matter regardless of importance. He knows the best answer for every situation and because of that ability to choose properly every time, He is full of wisdom.

A great example is the story of Solomon and the two women who both claimed they were the mother of the same baby. They came before Solomon to determine the real mother. Wisdom was needed; a choice had to be made. Strangely Solomon understood a mother’s love and ordered the baby to be cut in half and a section given to each woman. Solomon knew that the real mother would elect to give the baby away rather than kill it, thus revealing the infant’s real mother. His ability to discern between two mothers was only one of the reasons he is called the wisest man to ever live. But where did this wisdom come from? He asked God for it, and God gave it gladly.  James 1:5 holds the same promise for us.

At Bibles Cover The Earth we believe that the Word of God is the compass that is able to help direct our lives and that it holds the power for the Holy Spirit to guide us in all wisdom. Its pages are full of people who had to make a critical decision and needed assistance from the Holy Spirit.

As we reach the middle of this year, I hope you will remember that the wisdom of the Holy Spirit is only a prayer away. Why not start each day with a simple prayer to the Holy Spirit? Ask Him to guide you and to give you the wisdom that you need for that day. You will find that you don’t make as many stupid little mistakes and your ability to see things from different perspectives will grow as you grow in wisdom. -DFH

Prayer For Your Genealogy

God can only build this business and we can only succeed if we are praying for ourselves, our genealogy, and the company.  There is truly strength in corporate prayer.
