Bibles Cover the Earth Would Like To Include The Military In Our Program and You Can Help

We are continuing to send Bibles to the prisons in Arkansas, but we would like to begin sending Embossed Bibles to our military men and women who are proudly serving us and the cause of OUR freedom.

If you know of anyone in the military seving our country either state-side or overseas, we would like to send them an embossed Bible. We would also like  to find a Chaplain in Iraq and Afganistan who would serve as a contact for our military men and women serving there who could gather names of soldiers who wish to have an embossed Bible sent to them. President's Corner

by Brent Holt

As time goes on and we talk to more and more people about BCTE, certain barriers seem to be more common than others. I thought I would talk a little this month about a one of these barriers.

First, a few people have told me that they have been told that it is wrong to make money off of the selling of the Bible. I believe this thought brings up a deeper issue. It comes from the belief that many have today that there is somehow a duel existence that the Christian leads; that there is the secular life we lead and then there is the spiritual life we lead; that the two are separate and should not be connected; that God is paying attention to one and doesn’t care what we do with the other. Just like we’ve been led to believe that our government can operate separately from the spiritual, we believe there are certain aspects of our lives that are not a part of the "God thing". There is no scriptural basis for this assumption (read Romans 6). Being a Christian should not define only what you believe is going to happen after you die, but also what you have become now while you live on this earth. Do you think that God is interested in you only when you are at church or when you pray? No, He is interested in you all the time. If you agree with this, you realize that anything you do, at work or at play, is part of what you are defining as you being a Christian. So, if you plan to make money from selling the Bible and then using that money on luxuries and the pleasures of life while your neighbor and fellow man suffer, then I agree that you should not sell the Bible to make money. But I could also make an argument that you, as a Christian, should not sell anything with those motives. If, however, you use your money and talents to "love your neighbor as yourself", then do you believe that it concerns God if you sell the Bible, or girl scout cookies, or tootsie rolls, or raffle tickets, or cakes at a bake sale…you get the idea. I think the argument about whether or not to sell the Bible for money is less about what you are selling and more about what you are spending the income on. Does a preacher feel guilty about preaching the from the Bible and then asking for a donation in church? No, he is asking for money because he knows it takes resources to run and do the work of the church and the Kingdom. I bet he would not feel so good about it, nor you about giving, if his intentions were to use that money to go buy for himself a new beach-house in Tahiti. Should the Bible publishing company that BCTE gets it’s Bibles from feel guilty about selling to us the Bibles they publish? No, the Bibles they publish go out into the world to promote God’s kingdom. So, if you are feeling guilty about making money off of the sale of Bibles, or are talking to people who would, then maybe you should ask yourself or the person you’re talking to what the plans for the money would be. I have found that the people who get very excited about BCTE are not the ones hoping to buy themselves the beach-house in Tahiti, but the ones who plan on using the money to do the work of God’s kingdom.

Bible Verse of the Month

For the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light -- Luke 16:8.

Suggestion Corner

We would like to hear from you. If you have any suggested improvements to our program, embossing tips, ideas on who and where to share our Bibles, or positive stories of people who have been  blessed by our program. E-mail us by clicking here:

 Prison Bibles

We are continuing to send Bibles to three of the correctional facilities here in the State of Arkansas. If any of you have contact with any Chaplain or prision ministry in any correctional facility, we would like to add those men and women to our list of contacts. We will send that facility or person a letter of our program and allow more inmates to obtain a Bible with their name embossed on the cover.

 Number Please?

We now have our company phone number available for use.  Many people would rather call their order in instead of using the internet. We understand and we want to offer that convenience. The number is:

Bibles Cover The Earth makes a donation to the Wycliffe Foundation

Bibles Cover The Earth is pleased to announce that this months donation has been made to the Wycliffe Foundation.  This foundation translates the Bible into the native language of different groups of people around the world and states the following as their vision: "Wycliffe’s vision is to see the Bible accessible to all people in the language they understand best."

Here is an exerpt from their website (www.Wycliffe.org) :

They are searching for life that can only be found in Jesus. God speaks through His Word to communicate His character, His promises, and His invitation to love and know and serve Him. How can people know Him when they can’t clearly understand the words they hear or read—or worse, when they have no Scriptures available to them at all?
More than
2,200 language communities still do not have true access to even one verse of Scripture. They need to experience God’s Word in their heart language.

It’s true that some minority language groups are bilingual, and they can read the Bible in their second or even third language, but it’s hard to connect with the message when it’s not in their mother tongue. It’s like trying to eat soup with a fork, or trying to read by moonlight. It might be possible, but not very effective, and certainly not very inviting. Bible translation in the heart language invites people to truly encounter God’s truth.

Some communities have never heard about Jesus at all. They have absolutely no access to God’s Word. For them, Bible translation can mean the difference between eternity with God and eternity without Him.

We think that their vision and the vision of BCTE coincides well.

EVERY EMBOSSING CENTER IS A BUSINESS

PART TWO

by Dennis Holt

Last month we talked about the power of leverage as being a Kingdom principle that can help us to become more weathly and also to empower us to do more for the Kingdom and at the same time learn how the Kingdom functions.

This month I want to discuss the power of giving as a business principle. Giving is one of the most basic principles of the Kingdom.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son... John 3:16.

Why did God give His Son? Before you answer, first realize that God uses Kingdom principles every time He does something. Now let's finish the verse.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

I want you to notice what is called a cause-effect statement within this verse. A cause-effect statement is this: If you do something, then something will result from your doing it. Example: If you believe in Jesus, the Son of God; then you will not perish but have everlasting life. The cause is believing, the effect is everlasting life. One cannot be had without the other.

This cause-effect statement is why Jesus used farming in so many of His parables. A farmer would not expect to reap if he did not sow. That would be silly. Look at this parable:

And Jesus said, So is the Kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground - Mark 4:26.

This is the cause part of the statement. The Kingdom is like putting seed into the ground. There is a giving taking place here. This farmer is putting something (seed) into something (ground) that has been designed to accept and promote the giving (seed).

The next verses explain the effect statement but in a way that seems magical. These verses are trying to explain the supernatural effect of the Kingdom on the "cause" of sowing. Read carefully.

And should sleep, and rise night and day; and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade , then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear - Mark 4:28.

Here is the cause-effect of these verses. The man gave something (seed) to the earth (Kingdom), but once it was given, it began a mystical life of its own which could not be seen by the sense of sight. Still the process was working and in its own time, produced a harvest (effect) that could be seen with the sense of sight.

This has been called by many, the power of "seedtime and harvest" with seedtime being the cause and harvest being the effect.

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest...shall not cease - Genesis 8:22.

We could paraphrase this verse this way: While the earth remains cause and effect shall not cease. This principle is the primary way of the Kingdom to gain wealth. Notice I said of the Kingdom. It is the direct opposite of this present worldly system. This is important because Bibles Cover The Earth's program is soley based on this principle. At present this is one reason why it is so hard for people to understand. Let me explain.

Give and it shall be given unto you; goodmeasure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured back to you again - Luke 6:38.

What is the cause here? What is the effect? What does the word, it, mean? Let's assume it means money, but it could mean anything. As we give money (the cause) what is the effect? Do we get the same amount back? Why? Because the supernatural affect of the Kingdom causes IT to grow exponentially just like the farmer's seed that was planted in the earth. But here is the clencher. How is the money going to come back to us? Is God going to allow it to drop from the sky? Will He allow us to win the lottery? Will our rich aunt die and leave us billions? That could happen but this verse says that men will give it back to us? This has powerful connotations. What causes any business to be successful? Men or women who buy the product or use the service. The more this happens the more successful we become. There is no greater example of this in my mind than multi-level marketing, but it goes even deeper. Why wouldn't God use the lottery to pay off your church? Because it goes against the principles of the Kingdom.

A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that makes haste to be rich shall not be innocent - Proverbs 28:29.

Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labor shall increase - Proverbs 13:11.

Why do people who win the lottery have trouble hanging on to their money? Because they do not have the wisdom to handle wealth.

There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up - Proverbs 21:20.

At Bibles Cover The Earth, we consider each Embossing Center as a Kingdom business that has the potential to function in the ways of the Kingdom. To do this takes wisdom and understanding. One who is faithful in learning about the Kingdom of God, its King, and the way in which it functions will be rewarded with wealth that will not be easily lost. That's why we do not focus on the amount of money that can be made by each Embossing Center. Although it is substantial, if each Embossing Center does not have the proper understanding of its mission then we become just another MLM company trying to entice people to become rich with our program. Our mission will always remain,

To work hard to see the Kingdom of God come to this earth,

and in the process, teach every person how to inherit it and to become well aquainted with its fundamentals and principles.

When people look at the program of Bibles Cover The Earth what do they see? Do they see the opportunity to grow in knowledge of the Kingdom? Do they see the opportunity to learn the power of cause and effect? Do they see the potential to be blessed by others by being a blessing themselves? Do they see the opportunity to give and have men give back to them pressed down, shaken together, and running over?

Probably not, because the lord of this world's system has trained us to be skeptical and untrusting. We have all experienced that. But, I hope with this newsletter we are all learning that there is something much more important going on here than sponsoring people. If that is our focus then we are in for some major disappointment. If, however, we focus on the vision our excitement will cause people to want to join. Let me encourage you with this thought. God's Kingdom is coming to this earth. That's a fact. It's in His Word. Every person on this earth right now is either part of the problem or part of the solution. If you are part of Bibles Cover The Earth, you are becoming a part of the solution. How do I know? Read Romans, Chapter Ten, verses 14 - 18. I especially like verse 18. That verse is the cause. What will be the effect?  DFH

Finding A Fervent Cause

I remember being on the annual staff in High School, and part of my job was to sell ads to the businesses in town. At first, that job was very laborious. I hated it until I realized that if the ads weren't sold there would be no yearbook. That changed everything.  Not having a yearbook was out of the question. My desire to have a yearbook gave me a fervent cause.

Selling those ads is a lot like selling the vision of Bibles Cover The Earth. Most of us hate the sponsoring part and might wish that we only had to sponsor two or even one Embossing Center. When we started Bibles Cover The Earth we saw a need. That need is to get the Word of God out to the world and empower people with money and time to work for the things of the Kingdom of God. To me that has become a fervent cause.

I challenge you this month to ask yourself this question, "Why do I have trouble talking to people about Bibles Cover The Earth?" Once you have come up with the answer, ask yourself if that barrier is greater than changing this world for our children and our grandchildren. Every time I hear of a school shooting or someone molesting a child, I become motivated to talk to someone else about Bibles Cover The Earth. I love so much Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's Mountain Top speech.

"I have a dream that one day men will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

Character. Does that mean anything today? It does in the Kingdom of God. Just one reason why the Kingdom has become my fervent cause.

Without a fervent cause, there is always an excuse. "I'm too tired." "I'm too busy." "I'm too embarrassed." "I don't have enough money."

There's an old saying: Where there's a will; there's a way. That will is the fervent cause. The Word of God says it this way:

Whatsoever thy hand finds to do, do it with thy might - Ecclesiastes 9:10.

The reason we do not understand fervent cause is because this generation has never been forced to have one. If you really what to hear the power of the heart when it finds a fervent cause go to www.history.org/Almanack/life/politics/giveme.cfm

This is the speech of the great statesmen, Patrick Henry. The reason I enjoy this speech so much is because he could be speaking it today concerning the Kingdom of God verses the kingdom of this world. In reality it is his discourse on the coming war with the Kingdom of England and the new country of America. I get chills every time I read the last part of the speech because it reveals the power of someone who is committed to a cause.

I encourage you to become committed to the cause of the Kingdom. Don't ever think that one person can't make a difference. One person who believes in the Son and the power of exponential growth can become a powerhouse. When you read Patrick Henry's speech you will hear his dedication to two things: His God and the desire for freedom.

What would you like your Embossing Center to accomplish for the Kingdom. Let that become your fervent cause and talking to people about Bibles Cover The Earth will become much easier.

BIBLES COVER THE EARTH'S MONTHLY MEETING

Danny Ellis begins our first monthly meeting with prayer at the Black River Vo-Tec auditorium

Our first monthly meeting was held at the Black River Vo-Tec auditorium on April 24th. We had about twenty people attend the program which was presented by Dr. Dennis Holt, Vice-president of Bibles Cover The Earth. After the program, Henry Gross demonstrated the ease of embossing a Bible. We will continue to meet each month as a service to all our Embossing Centers. Each month every Embossing Center and Member will receive an e-mailing of the meeting date, the place and time of presentation. This is a great opportunity to bring individuals who you think might be interested in the Bibles Cover The Earth program and in joining our vision.

In our next newsletter, we will continue to look at the benefits of Bibles Cover The Earth as a Christian home-based business, and make some suggestions on how to approach someone new about the program.

Doing The Impossible

by Henry Gross

On May 25, 1961, President John F. Kennedy delivered a now very famous speech entitled, "Special Message to the Congress on Urgent National Needs," before a joint session of Congress. Here is one of the more famous paragraphs from that speech.

“First, I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish. We propose to accelerate the development of the appropriate lunar space craft. We propose to develop alternate liquid and solid fuel boosters, much larger than any now being developed, until certain which is superior. We propose additional funds for other engine development and for unmanned explorations--explorations which are particularly important for one purpose which this nation will never overlook: the survival of the man who first makes this daring flight. But in a very real sense, it will not be one man going to the moon--if we make this judgment affirmatively, it will be an entire nation. For all of us must work to put him there.”

This paragraph has been an inspiration to me in many of the difficult tasks I have encountered. The president basically challenged NASA to make a trip to the moon happen. NASA didn’t say “we can’t do it”, they were smart and listened to all of the people around them that said “it can’t be done”. NASA did not feel rejected, but instead discovered the areas in which they had to develop new technologies, new processes and so on.

As you proceed with your new endeavor as a BCTE Embossing Center (EC), I would encourage you to find out what tools you don’t have or need.

As BCTE launched, we had to ensure that all of the processes were in place and functioning. Processes like manufacturing the embosser, the web site, shipping of the Bibles and so on. Now that we have had an extremely successful launch and the total concept is working, we are turning our attention to marketing. The marketing will include encapsulated presentations for you as an EC, to better present “The Plan” of BCTE. Currently, we are working on a basic booklet or binder type presentation as well as a Power Point presentation for the more computer savvy people.

Just as NASA asked all of the naysayers, what they needed to achieve their goals, I would ask you to let us know what you have encountered as far as naysayers. Please help us to direct our marketing efforts to help you achieve your goals.

I would like to challenge you as JFK challenged NASA.

“I believe that YOU should commit YOURSELF to achieving YOUR goal, WITHOUT GIVING UP, of landing GOD’S KINGDOM ON THIS EARTH”.

Remember, if fear of rejection is your safe zone, we can never achieve our goals. However if we take any rejection as a positive, to make us stronger, we can make all of our goals happen. Seek out people that will support you. “Support”, meaning people who will point out your strengths as well as you short comings.

I encourage you to be a “support” to us, so that we can be a “support” to you.
